Tabita Verburg has been named as Dow Area President for the Benelux, France, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom and Nordic region as of April 2024. Tabita succeeds Anton van Beek.
Getting to know Tabita
The new Area President for Dow tells us some insights about her ambitions and motives. We also learn how she wants to work together with colleagues, governments, customers, partners, knowledge institutions and the community in which Dow operates to further build a sustainable, inclusive future.
"I am looking forward immensely to leading a large and diverse team in multiple countries and coming up with sustainable, innovative solutions for the future from our different backgrounds. A good work-life balance is important to me in this. Besides work, I also want to fully enjoy my family (five children) and hobbies such as music, art, reading, food, sports and silent discos."
Career Path
Tabita has been with Dow since 2001 and has held various positions, including within Human Resources, Purchasing and Supply Chain. In addition, Tabita has led diverse projects in areas such as logistics, external partnerships, advocacy, strategic sourcing, merger & acquisitions, and human capital strategy. In her previous role, Tabita was Contract Operations Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Additional positions
Tabita represents Dow Benelux on the regional board of VNO-NCW (Association of Dutch Employers). She is also part of the VNO-NCW Leading Females community to prioritize advocacy with the industry at all levels. In addition, Tabita has held supervisory positions at several non-profit organizations in the Netherlands and is currently active on the board of cultural institute Stichting Toonbeeld (Terneuzen) and in a supervisory role within Stichting Cinelive Scheldemond (Hulst).
