Since March 2024 the Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E racing car has been parked in Dow Terneuzen. It's a high-tech racing car that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds, weighs only 850 kg, and has dual electric motors. Dow is responsible for many of the materials that make up the car for example those that prevent overheating.

"I am proud that the Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E race car is on display in Terneuzen. From our Dow Mobility Science platform, we collaborate with the Jaguar TCS Racing team to achieve optimal performance of the race car and to develop sustainable materials with their experts that continue to function under extreme conditions (such as on a race circuit). Together with our various business units and the collaboration with Jaguar TCS Racing, we help implement improvements in efficiency and performance in passenger cars. The car is a real-life example of what our industry is capable of and what our products are used for. It's a collaboration where science, innovation, sustainability, and our Dow solutions come together. We have provided materials to prevent overheating, materials that ensure the components can be assembled even better and more sustainably, and we have collaborated with Jaguar TCS Racing to implement electronic improvements. Additionally, we are also working on future optimizations regarding weight and lighting," says Bart Seghers (Customer Manager and part of the Dow Mobility Science team).

The show car has been given a permanent home in the Terneuzen Diamond Center.
